Soon-to-be Hurricane Francine will make landfall Wednesday over the coast of South Louisiana. It will track well east of the ArkLaTex on Wednesday but will be close enough to bring rain to most of the ArkLaTex.  Its impacts on our area will be minimal.  trib.al/zH3b6EM

Sunshine will finally return to the ArkLaTex on Friday as we quickly settle back into a more normal weather pattern.  Rain will become very limited from this weekend through all of next week with rather hot and humid conditions returning. trib.al/kl9btPo

Another streak of dry and rather hot weather has begun in the ArkLaTex. Most of the next week to ten days will be dry with near to slightly above-normal temperatures. We could stay dry for at least the next ten days! trib.al/73HPt24

Look for a rather quick warming trend over the next few days with above-normal temperatures for the final few days of summer. Cooler air will likely return late next week but don’t expect much rain. We will also have to watch the tropics! trib.al/Wx2Xt1Z

The dry, hot, and rather humid weather pattern will continue on Friday and this weekend. Don’t expect any rain until maybe the middle of next week. Tropical development in the Gulf of Mexico still looks possible sometime next week. trib.al/XZedSmx
