On Saturday I attended the opening of the General Assembly of Church of Scotland in Edinburgh, an event which is valuable time to catch up with fellow Provosts. Best wishes to the new Moderator, Rev Rosemary Frew.

The perfectly titled ‘Sunshine on Beith’ concert from Cunninghame Choir last night was a treat. Ably led by music director, Maciej Granat, & accompanied by Isobel Burnie, the performance was quite magical with the church acoustics.

Another fascinating piece of history in Jobs North Ayrshire, the Haylie Neolithic Tomb in Largs. Older than Stonehenge, the significance was recognised years ago but getting verification & clearing area to protect it has taken a while. Many thanks to all involved! 👏👏

The VE Day Concert organised by Cllr DL Reid, #BarrmillJollyBeggars was a fantastic programme of music that showcased the skills of The cooperation band & evoked the WWII era. #BeithDramaGroup transported the audience to the era via song & letters from the war. A delightful afternoon.
