Karamoja spends between 25-50 billion shillings annually on beer and illegal waragi. With over 54% of Karimojongs consuming alchohol compared to the national average is close to 14% (UNHS 2017). Thousands quietly die annually due to this scourge.

Today we held a strategic meeting at Gulu university main campus . Together with the deputy Vice chancellor prof.David Owiny , Deputy university secretary mr.obalim and counsel severino. The main issue discussed was the progress of Gulu constituent college in Moroto.

Last Sunday 11th August , I spent a cool evening with Gen . Otafire Minister internal affairs, with the woman MP of Amudat Hon Betty Chepokorial, and former LC 5 Chairperson of Amudat-Hon Francis Kiyonga Adamson. We discussed issues of Karamoja in general and most also on Amudat.
