I was able to spend some more time with the remarkable Joyce Carol Oates thanks to Ben Arthur, who curated a lovely evening centered around caregiving.

What an incredible evening discussing caregiving with the legendary Joyce Carol Oates and extraordinary musician Ali Sethi. The SongWriterPodcast event highlighted that while we may not always find words to describe meaning and suffering, music can encapsulate this duality perfectly!

A woman on my street told me that my elderly dog was having trouble walking and I said I know. 'I feel bad for her,' she said. 'Her vet says she's doing fine,' I said, then felt so guilty all day.
