Sunrise 🌄 to sunset and the perfect start to winter with a subzero day ❄️ exploring the Peak District's moorland nature with a photographer from Kent. The mountain hares played hard to get early on but the warmth of the sun tempted them out for some sunbathing 🐇🌞 Visit Peak District & Derbyshire

Happy #WinterSolstice everyone. The shortest day of the year has arrived and there's not much chance of a sunrise 🌄 so here's a picture from a few years ago.

What are you spending your extra day doing? For me there's nothing better than a hike in my local hills and with a bit of luck some clear skies tonight for some astrophotography. #LeapDay #LeapYear Visit Peak District & Derbyshire
