This is unacceptable. Equality deserves its own Commissioner, not just a footnote in an overloaded portfolio. The EU must prioritise gender parity & equality, not sideline them. We count on the European Parliament to step up and speak out for women's rights & equality.

It is unbelievable that Equality has been downgraded from its current position as a standalone portfolio. We urgently ask members of the European Parliament to lead the charge in restoring the position of Commissioner for Equality.
