Yesterday I joined my old-time friend Fr John Baptist Bashobora & other members of Father Bash Community Uplifting SACCO in Mbarara City. I thanked them for embracing government ideas of saving & investment but also encouraged them to be part of initiatives such as PDM & OWC.

Today, I paid last respects to my friend & former colleague at SWIPCO, Prof. Samwiri Kigwana, at Christ Cathedral Bugembe, Jinja. I Commiserated with the widow Mrs Penlope Kigwana & my long-time friends Dr Kagame, Hon Daudi Migereko & Hon Michael Werikhe. May Sam's soul RIP🙏🏿

Today I led a delegation from Bank of Africa to meet D. Speaker Thomas Tayebwa. We discussed Africa's Socio-economic transformation & affordable financing. Team comprised of CEO Amine Bouabid, Regional Director (E. Africa&Ghana) Kobby Andah, & Bank of Africa MD Arthur Isiko.

Was a pleasure attending Denise Beyagira's give-away ceremony in Mbarara City together with my friends; Amb Adonia Ayebare, Dr Racheal, Gen Lt Gen Joseph B Musanyufu & wife, as well as Amb Quillino, where the Chief Guest was the Rt Hon Thomas Tayebwa.

Today morning I joined the staff and management of National Housing & Construction Company Limited in their New Year prayers & appreciated Government's efforts to fund NHCC to become the No. 1 construction company in Uganda. I also emphasized the fear of the Lord being the beginning of wisdom.

Humbled to learn that the maize seeds I distributed to people of Mbarara City a few months ago are bearing results. We shall continue supporting our people based on what they can do to improve their livelihoods.

Yesterday, our family friend Col. Fred Zakye visited my home in Nkokonjeru and paid his last respects to our dad, Mzee Maitland Rukaari. May his soul continue resting in eternal peace. 🙏

Today I handed over a Yoghurt processing machine worth shs600m to Abesigana Cooperative in Biharwe Ward, Mbarara City North. I lobbied for the machine from the govt through trade ministry. I urged members to use the machine to process high quality products & employ our youth.

This morning, I took part in the Mbarara City Council Roads Committee meeting as an ex officio member. I reiterated the need for working together with the local people and their leaders for proper accountability.

Was a pleasure praying together with my wife, Best Man Amb. Adonia Ayebare and family friends (the Karokoras, Zakyes and Rwashotes) at St James' Cathedral Ruharo.

Today I joined Christians at Uganda Martyrs Church in Mbarara City for the early morning Mass to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. We thank the Almighty God who has kept us alive through 2023. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🙏🏿
