The district of Rufunsa is one of the most affected by the El Niño-induced drought in Zambia.

We saw how climate adaptation works. Farmers who adopted climate-smart irrigation and farming techniques were able to save more than half of their harvests.

.UN Zambia remains committed to working with the Zambian Govt to improve the lives of the people. Honored by the presence of Permanent Secretary Zambia Foreign Ministry Ms Etambuyu Anamela Gundersen at the 2024 UN Country Team Retreat and exploring enhanced collaboration for development.

Congratulations to Zambia for signing agreements with the Global Fund to access USD349 million for fighting HIV, TB and Malaria in 🇿🇲 from 2024-2026. UNAIDS Zambia CD Barihuta Tharcisse represented the RC with World Health Organization Zambia, UNICEF Zambia, UNDP Zambia and UNFPA Zambia reps present.

Was honored to join USG & Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide, Alice Wairimu Nderitu, Zambia’s Justice Minister and International Conference on the Great Lakes Region at launch of the National Committee on the Prevention of Genocide. We all have a duty to prevent genocide.
