STICK OR TWIST? (🧵)

A small Saturday morning thread (/rant) about the month of FM so bad that I almost uninstalled the game!

Okay so on the surface, this is a horror show. All five of these are tough games, but one point and no goals for a title challenger is a disgrace...

MustermannFM Possibility to have player's traits as PI. Shouldn't need to have 'likes to switch' as a trait to ask my DLP to do it. Same with gets deep to get the ball

MustermannFM I would like to customise team instructions in correlation to the space/part of the field my team has the ball. For example: slow and precise more calm build up out of the defensive, but as soon as we reach a certain spot, speed up the passing

MustermannFM I'd like the option to make a pressing system instead of just 'do a press'. Also being able to switch between zonal and player marking/pressing. The OoP stuff is a bit basic in those regards.

Vinícius MustermannFM But to follow up. I’d also agree that I’d love to see more tactical flexibility in this regard to the match engine and tactics. It’s such a big part of the game irl that improvement in the game would be much appreciated.

MustermannFM What I would implement is the ability to build a tactic out of possession. Like having a 4-2-3-1 when attacking and 4-4-2 while defending

MustermannFM I am a big big advocate of having more customisation in set pieces so like in the corners let's say I set up a square but I want two to do a dummy run which leaves the back post open I want more creativity and more like movement shouts and runs around the creativity.

MustermannFM More freedom to create a style for differing scenarios. For example, positioning for defending, transitions, pressing and attacking. The current way of instructing during phases is too limited.

Finding the right background music has slowly become the bane of my life. So, I've gone and made my own instead. Might not be good, but I think I've got this naming thing down to a tee!

MustermannFM Expanded Tactical Feedback:

Providing more detailed feedback and analysis on tactical decisions, including insights into why certain strategies succeeded or failed, could help managers learn and improve their tactical approach over time.

MustermannFM Revamp the post match analysis tool into an in-match analysis tool that indicates what your coaches spot. Visually show in a pop up a 2D match engine animation of a recent phase of play if a player isn't tracking correctly / if an opponent is struggling to complete passes ect ect

MustermannFM I’d like some sort of visual that shows the relationships between positions, and positional play. I want to be able to see what will happen if I play a mezzala on the same side as an inside forward - will they work well together or push the IF out wide?!

MustermannFM Started playing FM Last year. Currently at over 300h ... Still, before every Match my Assistent suggests 'fewer Defensive duties, maybe 4' (i Play in German, rough Translation). And i dont even know what He wants. SI should add a 'what does that means' Button to a Lot of stuff

Tony | FM Grasshopper 🦗 MustermannFM This, exactly! Having the ability to have moments taking your feet off the gas, as a team. Even if it is your assistant advising in moments during the game to use it.

If using Gegenpress, FM should be pushing players to use it so we can then see the effects when you don’t.

MustermannFM Wide center backs beeing able to be selected in a 2 CB formation and have specific team instructions when counter attacking

MustermannFM Ability to give clearer tactical instructions to incoming subs.

If you know, say, the RB has a small injury, sending in a fast LW and telling him before going on 'run at him', stuff like that.

You can do it through the tactical instructions, but would be nice to do it that way

MustermannFM Can I go again? It’s not strictly tactical and can be applied to all parts of the game.

If the game detects you taking a picture of the tactics screen with a mobile phone, or disposable camera, FM immediately shuts down without saving. You’re unable to open .exe for next 10mins
