#RECONBoston22 is amazing and **exhausting** because every. talk. was so impactful and relevant and applicable I felt like I couldn’t let my brain wander for a second!! Side effects of good conference planning. Next time just give us one sleeper… just one.

Aaaahhhh #RECONBoston22 does it have to be over?? “Escape rooms, magic, puzzles, games, interactive adventures, ARG’s, immersive spaces, location-based storytelling”… I can’t wait to see how this community grows up and how we’re eventually defined… but we are here to stay!

I keep hearing things like “NFT’s will immortalize content on the blockchain forever”. I feel like if you want something to last forever, you don’t want it to rely on electricity but there are a few highly technical ways to preserve things for a thousand years…

#MuseumTwitter tweeps!! what are your favorite exhibit shops for producing hand-sized plastic or wooden, moveable components for in-gallery exhibits? For instance a gallery game that had physical parts for a Children’s Museum? Margaret Middleton? @erodley? seema rao?

Hey Andy Cummins!! I’m psyched you’re in town but so sorry I’ll miss the DAM! Let me know if you’d like to grab morning coffee tomorrow before the day gets moving.

A woman was walking down the street this morning in a cheerful pink shirt that said “Wednesdays we wear pink”— which completed screwed up my schedule until now o’clock. Touché Wednesday woman. Touché.

Excited to hear about inclusive collections at the #hnesummit. Looking up at the standard historic space “wall of men” and shocked to see portraits of Dorthea Dix and Clara Barton!! Gets me a little choked up and makes me remember how much representation matters

Hey Historic New England I think the slides are on auto- shuffle/slideshow present for this excellent talk, is that intentional?? The slides don’t relate to the speech and it’s a little distracting. #hnesummit

“This is something they call contra dancing I hear… some sort of New England dance I suppose” says the Englishman (the audience of historians giggles just a little since contra is traditional English country dance) #hnesummit

Brandon Haw: One of the things Carl Skelton said was that a lot of the future could be going back to what New England was in the days of old. It sounds like a very conservative viewpoint, but I think it's a much more radical viewpoint. #HNESummit #HaverhillProvocation

All 3 architects have included maker spaces but all of the maker spaces I’ve seen (she controversially tweets) make pots and electric braids and printed earrings: disposable things. Is this the foundation of a revitalized economy? Why don’t we focus on “fixer spaces”? #hnesummit

A moment for the artist who was like “I want to paint a portrait of George Washington, but I want to paint him in front of a horse’s butt..” also props to the decorator who was looking for a Washington portrait and said “that one.” #hnesummit ⁦Mechanics Hall

via The New York Times Today in art news, a climate protester glued himself to a Vermeer, which is something I never thought I’d write. I’m wondering how #museumtwitter is responding. Will this protest trend change how we show work? It certainly gets attention. nytimes.com/2022/10/27/art…
