Our next big event is the Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday 12th April at 2.00 PM. We hope you will be able to support us again, and help us keep this unique little museum going. Thanks to all of you who made the Snowdrop Day such a success, despite the weather.

We will always welcome new volunteers who are willing to help us keep this museum going. For those who feel they can meet the challenge, we'd even be happy to train volunteers on the little circular knitting machines or the knitting frames!

We having a Tea & Cake Sunday 5th April, following a very successful launch to the new season. This is a very modest £1.50 - although to extend your visit to the house, garden and frameshop our normal entry charge would apply in addition. Hope to see you on Sunday 5th April.

With very many belated thanks to Robert Nash, who very kindly donated a hand operated circular sock machine to the museum. With just a little more practice, we can now make socks to pay our annual "rent." The first sock has been knitted, but there is room for improvement!

Just a reminder that the garden at the museum is thriving and that we hope to open it to visitors as soon as we possibly can.

We've refurbished the garden benches in anticipation of an easing of the lock down and us being able to welcome visitors again.

The news we've been waiting for has finally been announced. We pleased to be able to fully open the museum on Sunday 5th July. Government guidelines will be in force for everyones safety, so please be patient if we get busy - we will be very much in unchartered territory.

Due to the local lock down, the museum cannot reopen on Sunday 5th July. This is very disappointing, not only for us but many other organisations. Our volunteers have put in a great deal of work in preparation for reopening. We'll advise of when we can welcome visitors back.

We're very pleased to announce the museum will reopen on Sunday 9th August at 2.00pm. We are unable to accept cards at present, so we will ask for donations to cover the cost of entry. The gardens are looking splendid and we hope to welcome you soon.

Please note the visitors will be required to wear a face mask in order to comply with current government legislation.

We're pleased to announce a successful reopening of the museum and also the arrival of a much delayed card payment system to reduce cash handling as much as possible. We'll be testing it out on visitors today so please be patient! Cash will still be accepted.
