Some species are already responding to changes in climate by leaving to find new habitats, other populations are shrinking as the seasonal availability of food falls out of rhythm with their life cycle. #ShowYourStripes

The rain couldn’t dampen Ardwick Climate Action Action Day yesterday. Alongside bulb planting and a whole host of family-friendly activities, we shared some of our insect and botany collections. It was really encouraging to see so many folk keen to take action on climate change.

It's #VolunteersWeek & we have some of the best in Britain. Regulars to the museum will spot a few famous faces this week, like Sarah who does incredible work with our entomology collection... even though she's terrified of insects! 🪲 That's dedication, thank you Sarah.
