We have some Moses Griffiths prints on show at Corwen Museum as part of our 'Artists and Authors with a Connection to Edeyrnion Exhibition'. He was a gifted artist. We also have a first edition copy of Pennant's A Tour in Wales Volume 2.

We are having our first Board Meeting by Zoom this coming Thursday. Because of lockdown we have been thinking outside the box and have some great ideas to put to our trustees, so watch this space!

We have been very busy on our Facebook page facebook.com/amgueddfacorwe… with articles on researching family history. So many people in lockdown have been dusting off old family photo albums and starting to ask questions and we hope this will start them on an exciting journey.

We are working on an Edeyrnion Timeline to be displayed on the outside wall of Canolfan Ni. Watch this space for more details of how we are moving our Museum outdoors.

Because we have not been able to open Corwen Museum for twelve months now we have brought our Museum outside. We have put interpretation boards on the side wall of the Canolfan Ni building telling the story of Edeyrnion over time We timed it to coincide with St David's Day.

Mae’r Amgueddfa bellach wedi cau dros y gaeaf. Yn ystod y cyfnod hwn byddwn yn paratoi ar gyfer ein harddangosfeydd newydd yn 2022. Ein themâu newydd fydd hanes Glyndyfrdwy, Chwarel a Chloddfa Lechi, a’r gweithwyr llechi lleol.

The Museum has now closed for our annual Winter work on the production of our new exhibitions for 2022. Our new themes will be on the story of Glyndyfrdwy, the Moel Fferna Slate Quarry and Mine and the local slate workers.

😀We did it! Corwen Museum has been awarded a New Stories and New Audiences Grant funded by AIM and the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Our project 'Slate and the Making of Glyndyfrdwy' will be unveiled at Easter. Look out for more information about it soon. We are thrilled!
