Almighty. Protect us from displeasing You. Help those who have gone off track to get back to You. Soften their hearts so they may connect with You again. Constantly remind us that we’re dependent on You & not ourselves.

Don’t despair in times of hardship and calamity. Pray that the Almighty allows peace and justice to prevail. Pray for an end to conflict and violence. Pray that those in power would go all out to stop the violence. Aameen.

Be patient with people. Don’t give up on them so easily. Remember, the Almighty is most patient with you. How many times have you faltered; yet He brought you back on track, repeatedly. One day, it will hit you. Indeed, we have a Lord who is Most Merciful.

The passing away of a legend, the former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, May Allah have mercy on his soul, brought me to tears! He was an upright man, who never missed his prayers and a very disciplined believer who served his people to the best of his ability. His name was

Money is important, for sure. But you don’t have to be obsessed with it. The Almighty has written it for you, there is no need for you to lie, cheat, deceive, resort to fraud, abuse the rights of others just to make some extra bucks. Greed doesn’t pay.

One of our biggest flaws is pretending to be blind to our own shortcomings but we’re the first to jump down someone's throat when they make a mistake. Learn to be more self-critical instead of always pointing fingers. Leave the judging to the fairest Judge of all.

If you’re always looking for ways to expose others, you have a problem that needs fixing. Remember, the Almighty said if you expose others, He’ll surely expose you, no matter where you are.

Almighty. We pray for healing; from disease, failure, hardship, depression etc. We’re battling fear and worry at every turn. You can heal us in a heartbeat. Take away the pain and grant miraculous healing which only You are capable of. Fill us with hope as we wait. Aameen.

Disappointment is not always a bad thing. When something we dislike happens, we think it’s a mistake. We get upset. We forget that the Almighty is in control. He sees and knows things we don’t. The bigger picture will emerge soon and we will thank Him for His infinite wisdom.

Almighty. Keep our hearts soft and protect them from hardening. When we commit a sin, make us feel the guilt that comes with it. Don’t make us among those who sin and yet don’t bat an eyelid or feel remorse. Shower us with Your Mercy. Aameen.

Life will never get less busy. Make time for what matters. Your link with your Creator is non-negotiable. Don’t neglect your family and loved ones. And of course yourself. Self-care is not selfish.

Why do we always feel the need to be nosey? Why do we have to know everything that’s going on in someone else’s life? You’d be surprised how much good will come your way by minding your own business.

Think good thoughts. Keep doing good. Don’t look down on others. Don’t forget that the person you looked down on may be the one who gets to Paradise before you because of a sincere heart.

Almighty. We need You now more than ever. Keep hopelessness and despair away from us. Don’t let fear and anxiety take over. Shine Your light and be our source of Strength always. Aameen.

Your sleeplessness could be the Almighty’s gift for you. Use the time to get close to Him in one of the most blessed of prayers. It is indeed a blessing. Taste the sweetness of night worship. Not everyone gets it.

Almighty. Forgive us for the times we forgot to lower our gaze, for using foul language and things we weren’t supposed to do. Protect us from shame & failure, from Your punishment, anger, wrath & Hellfire. Grant us Your Mercy & the best of both worlds. Aameen.
