Mid 2nd: Flower Mound 1, Plano East 0 Lady Jaguars attempted a bunt with a two-strike count with two outs and two outs, but it rolls foul. Lady Panthers will take that break.

End 2nd: Flower Mound 1, Plano East 0 Lady Panthers hit the ball hard but right to Lady Jaguar defenders. Kylie Grant with a hard liner caught in center field. Riley Hopper ends tge inning with hard line out to the Flower Mound SS.

Top 3rd: Flower Mound 2, Plano East 0 Tough break for the Lady Panthers. Line drive goes off the glove of first baseman Riley Hopper, resulting in an RBI single for Bella Flores.

End 3rd: Flower Mound 2, Plano East 0 Lady Panthers get aggressive with a bunt. Lady Jaguars get the runner at first base, then throw out the runner at third base for a double play.

Top 4th: Flower Mound 3, Plano East 0 Macy Seidel comes up to pinch hit. Seidel hits a fly ball to the wall, drives in 1 run on the sac fly.

Mid 4th: Flower Mound 3, Plano East 0 Jadyn Dawson limits the damage to 1 run. Kylie Grant fields a grounder and then throws to Riley Hopper for the third out. Lady Jaguars leave the bases loaded.

Bot 4th: Flower Mound 3,,Plano East 0 Lady Panthers are on the board. Julia Wilson lines an RBI single up the middle.

End 4th: Flower Mound 3, Plano East 1 Lady Panthers get on the board, and then had two on with no outs, but it's just limited to 1 run.

Top 5th: Flower Mound 7, Plano East 1 Jadyn Dawson was one out from getting out of a bases-loaded jam, but Nahla Hurst delivers a big hit. Hurst hits the ball through the left side and plates four runs as she touches all four bases on that play.

Update: Plano East has runners at 2nd and 3rd, zero outs, after a double by Avery Hopper. Bot 5th. Flower Mound leads 7-1.

Bot 5th: Flower Mound 7, Plano East 4 Gina Martin RBI double and Julia Wilson adds a two-run double. Note: I might not be able to hear tomorrow.

End 5th: Flower Mound 7, Plano East 4 Lady Panthers bring the tying run to the plate but a fly-out and a strikeout ends the frame. Nonetheless, Plano East gets right back into this game with RBI hits from Gina Martin and Julia Wilson.

Mid 6th: Flower Mound 7, Plano East 4 Jadyn Dawson works around a two-out single by Bella Flores as Plano East remains down by just three runs.

End 6th: Flower Mound 7, Plano East 4 Lady Panthers go down in order, now down to their final three outs. The good news: Plano East will bring the top of their batting order up to the plate in the 7th inning.

Top 7th: Flower Mound 8, Plano East 4 Lady Jaguars scire another run after a Lady Panther player can't locate the ball behind home plate.

Mid 7th: Flower Mound 8, Plano East 4 Lady Panthers down to their last three outs, need four to tie.

Final: Flower Mound 8, Plano East 4 Lady Jaguars win series 2-0. Heck of an effort by the Lady Panthers to get to within 7-4 after trailing 7-1. But gour errors proved too much to overcome. Heck of a run by Plano East to reach their 1st regional final since 2012.

That's a wrap for the UIL 2024-25 school year for sports for Plano East. Unbelievable year for Plano East this past year. Congrats again to the Lady Panthers' softball team to making its first regional final since 2012. Thank you for everyone for tuning into the Murphy Monitor.
