A busy week exploring and learning through a play here in reception Mulberry Wood Wharf Quality play for us means: learning new words, collaboration, problem solving, negotiating and persevering in a high quality continuous provision with high quality adult - child interactions.

Some incredible writing happening in our year 2 class today, creating their own narrative! It was wonderful to see some very articulate peer feedback too! We can’t wait to see the final published writing.

Blue Whale and Tiger Class went on a trip to explore the local area, stopping at our friends John Lewis & Partners for a babycino and a snack. Each child placed their order at the counter and paid with real money using their magnificent manners! It was all very civilised!

Spooky goings on here Mulberry Wood Wharf today as the children dress up for Halloween. We all focused on sustainability as a theme and agreed we either had to make an outfit or recycle and rewear an outfit. It was a lovely community feel this morning.

Even more enhancements our evolving b on our new site, we have just had a state of the art screen and sound system installed in our hall to support shows, events, presentations and assemblies!

Back to school and back on the piano, filling the corridors with magical music!

Look at our year 1 role plays set up for this half term. We believe that children should continue to have access to a continuous provision when they join key stage one, to continue the learning journey of purposeful play, building on the foundations they made in the Early years

Our 2nd ‘meet the expert’ session where one of our parents shares their experience and passion with other parents. This half term we continue with Agata, a qualified nutrition and this week we get to sample some delicious vegan chickpea quiche! Thank you Darren Beckner for hosting

During the half term holidays it was Diwali, we didn’t want to miss celebrating as a school community and so today we came to school in traditional clothes and bright colours to mark this special occasion and took part in different classroom activities, it was such a special day!

Blue Whale and Tiger class had a fantastic time visiting Mudchute farm this week. They learnt facts about animals including what they like to eat and what their personalities are like. It was lovely to get out and about in the local area and to enjoy the fine weather!

Monday morning assembly launching Anti bullying week. #ChooseRespect We are looking forward to sharing the activities and learning we take part in this whole week!

Having such a fun and wholesome day raising money for the annual Mulberry Wood Wharf Bake Off, who is going to be awarded the star baker??? Watch this space….

What a fantastic day we have had raising money Mulberry Wood Wharf for #childreninneed It was a full of yellow, spots and delicious show stopping cakes baked by our star bakers! Followed by a bake sale where we got to sample the delicious delights!

What an amazing experience for Elephant class performing dance, poetry and song on stage at the Mulberry festival of arts. They also enjoyed admiring our artwork i the exhibition and they were totally mesmerised by the immersive theatre experience.
