Publication alert! 🚨 Excited to share our new paper! We set out to investigate the effect of a training program on the knowledge and perception of Attention-deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) among primary school teachers in Kano, Nigeria. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

The intervention improved the teachers' knowledge of ADHD and Knowledge of Behavioural Intervention for the condition. However, the training program was associated with an increase in the intervention group's negative attitudes toward ADHD.

We recommend including similar ADHD training in teachers' continuous development programs and teacher training Colleges. However, future interventions to improve ADHD knowledge should specifically and proactively include components to address negative attitudes toward ADHD.

Future research could include strategies such as actual contact and interaction with a person with ADHD to address negative attitudes toward the condition.
