Come share the adventures we have in Year 1 this year. Here are some portraits my class completed earlier in the year. They utilised Sketches and the layering technique, their apple pencils and PicCollage to frame their work.

Year 1 exploring odd and even numbers back in Term 1, using a variety of manipulatives and their iPads.

Started ‘Reading Buddies’ today. Students chose a buddy of their choice to read aloud to on their iPads. After both students read stories at their abilities, they provided feedback to one another verbally in the form of ‘2 stars and a wish’ .Wishes were shared as a whole class.

Had a great afternoon introducing my class to Clips. They amaze me every time at how quickly they absorb new skills. I love seeing them collaborate and engage in their learning 🤩

Introduced my class to Coding today using #Tynker I loved seeing their enthusiasm, persistence and success in problem solving each task 😊
