Beginning our new unit over shapes by creating them out of playdoh!

We are reading books about the wind. Today we were able to take our wind socks outside to learn more about the wind!

We worked in groups to create story maps about our story Brave Irene.

We read The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind this week, and created our own windmills! We also used sensory and feeling words in our writing about how William felt when the windmill started working.

One of my favorite routines we do during the day, because students get the chance to be the leader!

Yesterday we did our first opinion writing about Cinderella. Students were able to pick a character trait that described Cinderella and used that trait to create an opinion paragraph.

Today we did an experiment to discover how important the stem is to a plant! We also learned more about the different parts of a plant.

We have been working with the story Waiting for the Biblioburro. We loved getting to make our life size story maps!

Finished our writing about the Biblioburro yesterday, and it was great to see how students were making their pictures match their writing!

We ended this week talking about the parts of the plant while making our own plants!

We had a seahorse room transformation while we wrote and labeled sea horses!

Talking about animal adaptations while reading our new book. Students got to make a super animal that included different animal parts that would help the animal survive.

We made windmills today to end our module of the wind!
