If teachers are expected to live stream their classes for students at home, who is providing the AV equipment, including high resolution cameras and audio devices? Does the government think school WiFi is that strong? It's typically spotty and frequently loses its signal. #onted

Educators in Ontario are fighting against the austerity framework, not against the re-opening of schools. We have an obligation to say the current plan endangers people. Even the Sick Kids Report, which the Govt used, states smaller classes should be a priority strategy.

A reminder: just because 70% of elementary students may be returning to brick and mortar schooling doesn’t mean that 70% of households feel happy sending their kids back under the current ‘plan’: many families simply have no other other choice.

Today might be Friday but for admin and many education staff, the work continues through the weekend to prepare for reopening. This is a note of gratitude to the many custodians, office and school administrators who are making sure schools are ready and safe for Tuesday. 🙌
