Every teacher has those moments when they're so glad to be doing the job. I had those moments today in Heygreen Primary, especially in year 2, 2 boys worked as a team, composed and performed their body percussion to the pulse. Then, in year 1, blown away by the angelic soloist!

Good musical experiences in the EYFS are so important as part of holistic learning. It's also important for pupils of all ages to experience high-quality musicianship. This is fantastic. Thank you, RAF Association RAFAKidz x.com/rafa_kidz/stat…

It was great to hear pupils from year 1 to year 6 using musical vocabulary when listening to and appraising music in Townfield Primary School. 1/2 Rainbow Education MAT

Year 5&6 at Townfield Primary studied Bernsteins "Danzon" in preparation for their visit to the Schools Concert at the Phil. We have a King of the Claves mastering a Cuban rhythm! Rainbow Education MAT Royal Liverpool Philharmonic

Thank you so much to St. Bart’s Youth Choir for coming in this afternoon and leading us in a very special assembly. We were blown away by the talent displayed and we have no doubt that we will see some more familiar faces join them in September! 🎶 #StBartsFamily 💚💛

We have heard some amazing music yesterday and over the last week by many musicians. When will ministers realise that doesn't happen by accident, its more than just talent. It's also hard work, discipline and quality music education!

Once a man fell in a well. Splish, splash, splosh he sounded. If he had not fallen in. He would not have drownded! Macabre but a matter of fact… and we enjoy singing it! I can not find any history on the song though #silasmusic #onceamanfellinawell Ms MimnaghREMAT

I saw this quote by Richard Gill on a scheme of work today. No need for discussion. Music is worth teaching for its own sake. It is worth teaching because it is good. It is worth teaching because it is unique. And, it is worth teaching because it empowers children spectacularly.

For some people, there’s nothing better than singing in a choir. For some people, there’s nothing better than playing in a music ensemble. For some people, there’s nothing better than making music with others. For some people, there’s nothing better or more important than music.

A great start to the last half term of the year in music across the schools in the Trust. Year 2 - exploring structure & creating rhythms, Year 3- composing and notation, Year 4 - Samba rhythms & Year 6 exploring chord progressions! And much more!

I'm feeling even more enthused and positive after attending the Music Teacher Conference. It reaffirmed that this is a job I love. Thanks for continuing to inspire Music Teachers Association James Manwaring Don Gillthorpe

It's been inspirational to me, singing Madina tun Nabi with the Y5's across the Trust, especially at St Silas CE Primary School . The roles were reversed. I'm so impressed with the maturity and respect pupils have shown as they taught me more about nasheeds and their faith. Rainbow Education MAT
