Thanks for the 1.05% COLA, Governor Gavin Newsom . California school districts can hardly cover steps and columns, and now those of us who have spent our lives (20+ years) teaching are losing income this year because the increasing cost of our benefits won’t be covered by that 1.05%.

Yes, it’s 12:21 AM. Yes I have a 5:30 wake up call dialed in to both Alexa and Siri for a 7 AM arrival at school. Tomorrow is the first day of registration at both the middle school and the high school, and I will be with the theatre kids doing program recruitment.
