Year 3 had a fantastic Stone Age Day at Bestwood park. We completed lots of fun activities and learnt about the Stone Age.Hazel Community Primary School
In the Stone Age people learnt willow weaving so they could keep animals in a pen. Hazel Community Primary School
In our tribes (moon, sun and mountain) we made Stone Age shelters using sticks and animal skins(fake!) Hazel Community Primary School
Cave painting was a prehistoric record of what was happening. Tribes often painted their tribe, animals and their camps. Hazel Community Primary School
During the Stone Age, people began to make medallions to represent their tribes. Rob helped the children to make their own medallions using a modern saw to make a replica. Hazel Community Primary School
The children enjoyed handling artefacts and building a model of Stonehenge. Hazel Community Primary School
Year 3 had a great time this afternoon learning how to build fences and shelters and how to make some cave art. They all loved learning about the Stone Age Sam Maxwell Hazel Community Primary School
