I forgot to take a pic in front of our cool backdrop, but I absolutely loved getting to engage with our families and help lead our Parent Volunteer Day today! Our SL Lewis ES families showed up in a big way today, and it was amazing!

An absolute breakthrough today when subtracting within 20 with my Tier II and III kids. Getting a little weepy in room 33, as I’m reminded that it’s okay to take a step back from abstract to represent the math in a new way. Whew! I’m excited!

Keeping backup toiletries came in handy today as our 2nd graders were writing about how to brush your teeth! It was hilarious to see them realize how specific their writing should be when they are giving directions, since I followed them word-for-word!
