Today our year 9 students got to listen to the testimony of a survivor of the Holocaust and had the opportunity to ask her questions. Such a moving and valuable experience in helping them understand the atrocity of the Holocaust.

Today is my last day with my (preemie) daughter before returning to work full time tomorrow after mat leave. Emotions and mum guilt are in overdrive but I’m so excited to get back in a classroom.

Had a great day taking some of our The Manor Academy Y11 students to an open day at Brackenhurst College. It was great to allow the students to see and experience different post-16 opportunities. (The cute animals were a bonus too!)

This has been by far the most difficult term of my teaching career. Learning to juggle being a mum, alongside wanting to be a great teacher and HOY 11, has been incredibly tough. I definitely would not have coped without my amazing colleagues, a huge thank you to you all 🥰

What a week… My wonderful Grandma has been diagnosed with cancer, my toddler has suspected pneumonia and we have had Ofsted at school. Definitely ready for the weekend!
