Today’s PD day was extra awesome because there were dogs! Winston and Inca (Winca for those “shipping” them) were so cute together playing together and Chewie was adorable as always.

We have a Recorder Karate Black Belt already!!!!! Ella kicked recorder butt this week and perfected all 9 songs in just 5 days! Seriously—she got her recorder on Monday. Congrats, Ella! Fastest black belt ever!

We have TWO Recorder Karate Black Belts already!!! Olivia earned her black belt this morning too! She’s only had her recorder since last week! These kids are amazing! Congrats, Olivia!

One of the first graders wrote me an amazing story! I cried reading it. This needs to be an actual book because music teachers everywhere would love it as much as I do!

Hey Jon Lampley — I had your little cousin in 2nd grade music class today! He’s such a sweet, smart kid! He was really excited when I told him I knew you.

Mr. Anzaldi and Miss Isaly’s class spent the last 3 music classes learning this song and 4 instrument parts. We put it all together today and they sounded AMAZING! They will be adding recorder to it next music rotation.
