In Science this week the Brilliant Butterflies have been learning all about different types of materials. We explored the classroom and found objects made of all the different materials we have been learning about. We have been super scientists! 🔍

In the Brilliant Butterflies we have been counting forwards and backwards. We made counted back from 10 and made matching cube towers to show that the amount gets smaller as we count.

This week in the Brilliant Butterflies we have been learning about the artist Molly Haslund. We have created our own artwork in the same style. We had a great time creating the outside artwork!

The Brilliant Butterflies have been amazing artists this week. They have been applying the different types of lines and marks they can make in their independent observational drawings of shells. They all created wonderful pieces of artwork. Well done Butterflies! 🦋

What a fantastic International Day of Languages the Brilliant Butterflies have had! We enjoyed learning about the different languages we all speak and had a great opportunity to learn from some of our parents.

The Brilliant Butterflies have been scientists this week, investigating the properties of different materials . We were investigating whether they were either bendy or rigid, opaque or transparent and whether they were absorbent. We had lots of fun being scientists! 🦋

We have been applying the knowledge we learnt last week to our continuous provision this week. We have been geographers, artists, scientists and readers! What a great week it has been! 😃

What a great fieldwork trip the Brilliant Butterflies went on this week. We were exploring the local area and deciding whether the things in our local area were good and useful to have near our school or not. 👍👎

What a great way to show how great our local area is! The Brilliant Butterflies showed great teamwork creating 3D maps of our local streets and the different features you could find if you took a walk around the local area. Great work Butterflies! 👍🦋🗺️
