I’m not an elementary school kid but seeing the joy on the neighborhood kids’ faces as their teachers drove by was awesome! Way to go Independence School District 💙

It's been an uplifting day as teachers and staff set out across our Independence School District community for car parades to show our students and families we are thinking of you! We were inspired and heartened to see so many signs and sidewalk chalk messages. #isdstrong

We needed this as much as our students and their families did!! We love you all! Take care of each other, make some art, cook something yummy, and read a good book! We’ll be together again soon!

We have been working hard to support art educators that are struggling to teach their students remotely. Using the new Artsonia app, teachers can post text/video instructions for students to follow. Students can then send their teacher a photo of their art along with a statement

In “Coming Home,” by Hale Aspacio Woodruff, the steps sag as a woman in a hat climbs the stairs, perhaps suggesting both her personal burdens and a more universal struggle. Her solid presence, however, implies resilience in the face of adversity. #StayHomeKC #MuseumFromHome
