I am loving giving my students responsibility to choose their math center activities! We have been working through “must dos, then dos, and can dos” and this was a picture perfect moment. You can see reflex, iReady, and partner games all happening! 😍

Non-Newtonian fluids are SO much fun! We have been learning about states of matter, so making oobleck for our monthly motivator was a no brainer!

We have been working hard at identifying supporting details and finding the main idea of nonfiction texts this week. Students worked in groups to write 3 key details to match a given main idea!

We love Mystery Science Experiments! We explored the changing states of matter and wondered what would happen when different candies would be exposed to heat!

Our class has really enjoyed having two student teachers from Messiah College join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Students were enjoying some word work games with them here!

We are building our problem solving skills using Exemplars- first we were understanding the problem and making a plan, then we used manipulatives to help us solve!

These sweet friends were excited to be twinning today! Happy Friday, little eagles!

A big thanks goes out to the York Springs Fire Department! They helped us learn more about their job after our fire drill this morning.

Brooks and Carter were pulled as our SOAR kids of the week, and we couldn’t believe they spun the wheel and BOTH landed on the BONUS!! Now our entire class gets to celebrate with an extra recess and a show and tell day!

My teacher heart was extra happy when a friend brought in this poster he made at home… glad to see he was so engaged in our lesson he shared his learning at home, too! 😍

I loved getting to be a mystery reader for my daughter’s class today! My students enjoyed getting to be in on the secret, too! 😍

The 2nd grade seasons, Father Time, Mother Nature, and all my friends were excited for a fun day together!

Our class had a fun time visiting Megan E. Aiello during our rotations for the Monthly Motivator! We played a fun math game!

We had a great Race For Education Day last week and all the students at BSES raised over $20,000 for our school!!

We also got to decorate pumpkins with some students from the National Honor Society from the high school. We had a blast!
