Playing with bubbles shouldn’t be this much fun for high schoolers 🀣 but we totally enjoyed learning about cell membranes in Microbiology last week. Not pictured - the foot-tall bubble tower they created. @MHSTrentSherman

Effective leaders seek out ways to serve, even if it's hard, for the betterment of those they lead. Poor leaders seek out ways to control, because it's easy, even if it is to the detriment of those they lead. Be the effective leader.

It's a great thing when your leaders appreciate you and praise. Because they should know your talents and strengths and so when they praise you it should mean something special. And I hope school leaders never forget that importance

Don't think morale is important for adults? Do you think students learn better in a classroom where the teacher is valued, appreciated, supported, and celebrated, or a classroom where the teacher feels isolated, disrespected and hanging on by a thread?

The #1 priority of admin should be staff morale. Everything else is secondary. Here's a few tips: * give them a voice * Trust them as professionals * Treat everyone as individuals/ humans * Respect their time * Show them you care personal/professional * celebrate/ appreciate

So excited to go to Finland in August and experience the Finnish education system. Hoping to bring back some ideas to WV to improve our system here!

For years, I’ve been made to feel as if I have a character flaw for wanting this. And important words in here - FOR ALL. I might be one of the few who speaks up to ask for it, but everyone would benefit from it.

If you don't think morale is important, remember that a student's learning environment is created by the teacher. A teacher who is supported, valued, & appreciated will create a more positive & dynamic learning environment than a teacher who is not.

Teachers who receive regular recognition & appreciation are: * More productive * More engaged in school * More likely to stay with school * More likely to receive higher satisfaction scores from students & parents * View school culture more positively Yes, Appreciation matters!

Whoever told leaders that adults don't need praise or recognition for a job well done never truly understood effective leadership or human nature. Recognition and appreciation are the keystones to building a motivated, loyal, and high-performing team!

Empowering teachers means lightening their load, not adding to it. Let's remove the weight of administrative burdens and non-teaching responsibilities, fostering a culture where educators can focus on what truly matters: inspiring minds and shaping futures.

Leaders, people quit their boss not their job. But don’t make the mistake of thinking these leaders were all bullies, too demanding or unreasonable. Many leave because they never felt valued, Appreciated, or supported. Praise, acknowledge, & let them know how important they are!

Teachers, NEVER let anyone make you feel guilty for enjoying your time off from school. Whether its excited on a Friday afternoon or even that springbreak is near. Teachers pour out their heart & soul on a daily basis! You're an amazing human, but you are human!
