Yesterday we were learning all about our senses. We looked at our 5 senses and how they help us! We learnt all about the sense of smell then we used it to guess what was in the cups! Some smells were lovely and some were not as nice! 👃

This morning we have been looking at the phoneme ‘p’ and practising writing it! We love writing so we carried on in our provision!

Today we were learning about our touch and hearing senses! We closed our eyes and listened really carefully to sounds around us- we then used musical instruments to make quiet and loud sounds! We then spent time looking at ‘geeky’ books and touching all the different textures!

We are sending home the bags 2 school again for our collection on October 1st! This is a great way to raise money for our school and also gives you a perfect excuse for a clear out! Thank you for your support!

This week in reception we will be learning some new sounds! We will be looking at the book ‘We’re going on a Bear Hunt’ and making a bear mask! We will also be learning about our teeth and how to keep them healthy!

Year 3- this morning we did some drama relating to our short visual story ‘The Black Hat’. We acted out walking in the forest and finding the hat! We then thought about adjectives, verbs and adverbs to go with it! 🎩

Year 3- this afternoon it was all about the charcoal! Lots of experimenting with different charcoal and creating different lines and textures!

This morning we have been looking at our new phoneme ‘m’ We have been doing some amazing handwriting! ‘Down and up and over the mouse’s ears’ 🐭

We have been learning about how brushing our teeth is very important! We talked about how we should brush our teeth and what keeps them healthy! We then practised brushing the dirt if the big teeth! 🦷 👄

This week we will be learning the ‘g’ phoneme for Gruffalo with some Gruffalo related activities! We will be learning about our family and the stages of life for Humans! We are excited for our Grandparent morning on Friday!

Year 3- We have had another great afternoon with charcoal! We have been experimenting with charcoal, white chalk and using ‘white space’ in our drawings! We used our hand prints to create a negative drawing Paula Briggs @AccessArt
