In June, we commemorate Indigenous Peoples Month (National Indigenous History Month) to recognize the heritage and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. As we look at the history, we must work towards reconciliation through peaceful and respectful relationships.

During Pride Month, we recognize and celebrate Two Spirit & LGBTQIA+ contributions and identities, and the allies who stand in solidarity. It's also a time of action; a time to raise awareness about the hate and violence toward Two Spirit and LGBTQIA+ people and communities.

These kids always remind me you’re never too old or too cool to play. For Fun Friday 4/5 flew to Paris - complete with a flight manifest, plane set up and in-flight snacks! So many of our class played along, their imaginations blow me away #playaslearning

As we start #TruthAndReconciliation week, 4/5 had the privilege to hear from Elder Betty Ross about her time in residential school. We are full of wonderings and eager to gain more knowledge so we can honour the Indigenous Peoples of Turtle Island. NCTR

So much learning this week about Indigenous communities and how we can take part in reconciliation. One of our featured book Ms this week was David A. Robertson’s When We Were Alone.
