I do think we need a debate on what is meant by "the best start in life." This can't just be stated as fact, unchallenged. There's a lot to consider that is currently suboptimal for many children.

Are we able & willing to reflect on these findings to consider what we are currently doing to disengage students & what we are not doing to engage them?

Human beings thrive in emotionally attuned relationships, which arise most easily in supportive environments, which emerge most rapidly in cultures that pay attention first emotions, not behaviour. Trauma/attachment science turns out to be radical for many cultures.
