The children of 5KG where left wondering all morning: what’s under the table cloth?🤔 The answer, a Hindu home shrine, which they attempted to draw with their tables, coming up one at a time to review the artefacts. It was great to see the enthusiasm around the room!🕉

Some of my old class came to see me this morning and were interested in my Hindu home shrine. They even left their own offerings next to mine - straight from their lunchboxes! 😆

5KG became scientists this afternoon investigating the question, “Will the substance dissolve?”👩🏼‍🔬🔬 We learnt lots of new vocabulary such as: solute, solvent, solution, soluble and insoluble. They did extremely well learning and not becoming confused with all the S words. 😀

Popped in to the fabulous 5KG this morning, and what a treat for my eyes! An engaging table with lots of science equipment for the class to explore. Do you think these substances will dissolve in the solvent? 🔍 👏 Mr Golding

At lunchtime I stumbled upon Luisa admiring our brand new ‘Star Writer’ display! We are so proud of our pupils and are celebrating effort this half term ✨

Moments like this are why teaching is the best job in the world♥️ Blown away by a pupils confidence, charisma and comedic timing- she had the whole audience smiling😄

5KG had fun today in science, separating different mixtures! The lesson would not have been possible without one of my lovely pupils asking the kitchen staff politely for a sieve.🧫⚗️👩🏼‍🔬🧑🏻‍🔬

Final shots of the BDSFA Girls' team-building and obstacle adventure today at Nuclear Wild Forest. This time last month, they had never met. Now they are ready to run through brick walls for each other... Well, muddy puddles anyway!
