The Minister of Ministry of Youth and Sports of Somalia, H.E. Mohamed Bare Mohamud, met with the British 🇬🇧 Ambassador to Somalia🇸🇴, Mr. Mike Nithavrianakis. Their discussion centered on how the UK gov’t can better support Somali youth in areas such as democratization, stabilization, and talent nurturing for Somali athletes.
A pleasure meeting Minister Mohamed Bare Mohamud to hear about the ministry’s mission and priorities for 2023-2030. The UK is committed to supporting youth & sports policies that help Somalia’s young population reach its full potential.

#Somali youth, led by Ministry of Youth and Sports of Somalia , agreed today on a roadmap to develop a Youth, Peace, and Security National Action Plan. Supported by UN agencies, the Plan will provide a framework for active participation of youth in the ongoing peacebuilding process.
