Today we join the Fisantekraal Public Library for their school holiday programme with the theme of "Eco-Warriors" with their beautiful display focused on environmental pollution. We did a clean up around the Library and reminded the children to put their litter in the BINGO BIN!

Not the best scenes after the festive season at the river, but thanks to our eco-warriors, this litter won't end up in our rivers. 91 bags at 308kg. Illegal dumping remains, what feels like, an unbeatable problem. But we will continue the flight against pollution 💪

Today we celebrate World Wetlands Day at our seasonal Mosselbank wetlands. This year's theme is protecting wetlands for our common future. Our beautiful volunteers helped to pick up a 130kg of litter at the river and removed many Port Jacksons.

As dedicated custodians of the Mosselbank River, we’re not just protecting nature, we’re also driving impactful EE initiatives. With limited support and funding, the road ahead won’t be easy coming end February, but our commitment to conservation remains stronger than ever!

This past Saturday, our members became river scientists! We collected samples with the MiniSASS tool kit to evaluate river health and tested water quality using a field testing kit that analyzes multiple parameters.
