GMP and partners ensure 'safe and enjoyable environment' at Caribbean Carnival Across the weekend, 26 people were arrested on suspicion of various offences, in and around the wider area. This includes for possession of drugs and weapons, drink-driving, and affray offences.

It was a pleasure to-day to share in the celebration of South Asian Heritage and culture representing the Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester along side Lord Mayor of Manchester. A fantastic display of culture and heritage, and this is what binds our communities together ❤️

In light of the recent knife crime tragedies in our community, we’ve started something powerful. 💔➡️💪 Yesterday, over 50+ young people came to the Powerhouse in Moss Side for our first aid training with Street Doctors and the British Red Cross. Together we can make change!

Last night, I attended the “Stronger Together: Ending Knife Crime” community awareness event at the Phil Martin Centre in Moss Side. It was powerful to see our community come together — young people, parents, residents, and local leaders , all united with one goal: to end knife

Earlier this morning, with our local MP Afzal Khan MP, we joined our incredible Moss Side Neighbourhood Health Champions at their regular health drop-in sessions on Princess Road. These sessions give local residents the chance to have a quick health check like blood pressure
