Crews at work 7 days a week and extended hours at Regent’s Slide. Full-scale excavation resumed mid-July utilizing both conventional and remote-controlled equipment. Crews continue to install shear dowels in the cut slope to provide immediate and long-term slope reinforcement.

Full overnight closure of Hwy. 1 at Rocky Creek (12 miles south of Carmel), will begin Sunday, July 27 at 10 p.m., with the highway scheduled to reopen Monday, July 28 at 6 a.m. Crews will deploy a crane across both lanes during closure to resupply seawall reconstruction project.

Travelers on southbound Hwy. 17 will encounter a closure of the #2 (right) lane, between the Glenwood Cutoff and Vine Hill Rd, starting Monday, 10/6 thru Friday, 10/10, from 7 am to 2:30 pm. HAZMAT crews on site to remove contaminated soil from a recently overturned fuel truck.
