We're so happy to be working under the auspices of Project Lyme, and receiving their fabulous support! I couldn't have wished for a better organization to help us become a success. Big things coming. But next week, this: Support for Moms:

This is very important. The conventional wisdom, which was never particularly wise, is that it takes 36 hours for a tick to be able to transmit Lyme to a human. Disproven!

Melissa Bell has it right: Project Lyme's benefit focused attention directly on children with Lyme, be it congenital or tick-borne. Jenna Bush Hager did her homework and hosted beautifully, and @IsabelRose demonstrated in many ways the devastation of a childhood with Lyme.

A BIG Thanks to Project Lyme and Jenna Bush Hager for supporting @MothersAgainstLyme and highlighting last night the tragedy of congenital and childhood Lyme. It's about time the NIH @CDC began to focus on us! Children are our future. We must protect them! #childhoodLyme
