My mom (who’s ESL) got an MRI today and was asked if she wanted music vs earplugs. She built up the courage to request Carole King but the moment the scan started, it went out. She was told to press the button for emergencies only so she stayed in the scan wo music 😭

When surgery is pulling the stretcher from the front and bumps into the wall, but it’s still anesthesia’s fault lol

I think we need to talk more about the verbal mistreatment medical providers sometimes receive from patients and their family members. We’re all on the same team and here to advocate for the patient, always.

I am so heartbroken by the news of Dr. Nakita Mortimer, a fellow anesthesiology colleague in NYC. How many more lives do we need to lose before our system changes? Dr. Mortimer deserved more.

Intern year was one of the worst years of my life. I struggled with depression, loneliness, and hopelessness throughout the year. My mental health often took the hardest hit was when rotating outside of the ED. A thread. #Medtwitter TW: physiciansuicide, depression.
