What an incredible way to start Indigenous Peoples Day. Ridgeway Elem students gathered at our Welcome Figure to sing ‘7’ by William Prince.

Ridgeway students gathered at the Welcome Figure to open up ‘Orange Shirt Day’ by holding space to continue learning about residential schools and their impact, and recommitting action to Truth and Reconciliation.

Ks & 1s along with 6s & 7s worked together to share messages of why every child matters. Their messages fill our hearts with hope, a necessary ingredient for a better, brighter future. ❤️ We learn so much from our children, a right denied to Indigenous folks for far too long.
