Going GENUINELY phone free in schools is hard.

Hard to police.
Hard to follow through.
Hard to deal with angry parents.
Hard to keep consistency across staff.

But it CAN be done.

Needs full engagement of SLT and serious backbone.

Michaela, who we named the school after, used to take her marking to Inset training and sit in the back quietly getting on with things.

If staff can’t see the point of CPD, then leadership need to change a number of things.

This makes it abundantly clear that the brightest kids are at MIT.

Whichever elite universities follow will be in competition for those brightest kids.
