I always remember my birthday celebrations as a Kindergartener. My mom would come in to read a story. I felt so special. Due to COVID we are unable to have family members come into the school, however, KS got crafty with technology and enjoyed a birthday read aloud through MEET🎂

The way we look and act makes us so special. When I asked this student what he drew that makes him so special, he said, “going to school.” He reminded me of how precious life is & how we must celebrate all that we have🤗 Jessica Rosenthal we loved this lesson!

We started learning how to write the numbers 1 and 2 with a q-tip and paint. Today one of the students said, “this is #awesome!”

We read the story, “Chrysanthemum”and discussed with our families how they chose our name and the special meaning behind our name. This lesson made us feel so special and valued. I was touched by all of the stories. Thank you PNW BOCES for this lesson. #LookForTheAwesome

We love becoming scientists in Kindergarten!🥼🧪For our science unit on Energy and the Sun, we investigated what happens to water when it is exposed to the sun. We created projects out of recyclable materials that could block the sun. #LookfortheAwesome

Over the past few weeks Kindergarten has been participating in many Gingerbread Activities. We read many versions of The Gingerbread Man, we graphed/wrote about our favorite Gingerbread story, we learned about patterns, and we made Gingerbread houses! #LookfortheAwesome

Grinch Day💚We used technology to listen to,How The Grinch Stole Christmas!, brainstormed ways to make the Grinch grin, went on a scavenger hunt taking turns “stealing” things that began with the initial sound given to us, drew the Grinch, did a “Grinch workout,”& had hot cocoa🥰

Sight word fun🙃 Today we got to throw a frog bean bag at a sight word given to us.
