Nat 5 we’re not pleased when I told them they would take turns adding to this until we got something from everybody because “when we get to the 19th person there will be nothing left to say!” Turns out they knew way more than they thought and we had to go round everyone again!

Now their exams are finished, S5 (and a few S4) chemists have been in yesterday and today to take part in the Royal Society of Chemistry analyst competition! Great opportunity to practice a range of practical techniques and work on their analytical and problem solving skills! 🤩 @BrochSci

Pupils loved taking part in the Royal Academy of Engineering: Home of the future challenge today! Such a great opportunity to speak with industry partners and apply what they had learned. 5 out of 7 pupils were part of winning groups 🤩 thanks to Lochside Academy for hosting!

Chemistry at Work Event attended by 50 S2 pupils from Fraserburgh Academy today funded by Royal Society of Chemistry. Learned about forensics, options for Chem at RGU/Abdn Uni, hydrogen fuelled buses while also having the opportunity to learn about foundation apprenticeships and careers 🧪 ⚛️ 👏
