Year One have had an amazing start to the week! We have investigated number bonds to 10 in Maths, compared toys from the past and the present in History, gathered adjectives for our narrative in English and explored iPad apps in Computing. St Silas CE Primary School

Highlight of my day has been making a fuss out of a child in my class who had a birthday over half term with washi tape in her exercise book. So simple but has made her feel so special 🥰 (I got the idea from twitter, can’t remember where)

Teachers teach because they care. That is all. Why would they bother to get a degree and choose teaching for any other reason? It’s not the whiteboard pens or the photocopiers or the laminator machines. It’s because they care. That’s it.

Today marks the halfway point of my NQT year. It’s flown by! Despite the challenges, it has been the most rewarding and enjoyable few months ever. Hoping to be able to continue doing what I love in person as soon as possible ❤️
