Our “ABC Countdown to 5th Grade” told us that “E” is for exercise day! So of course we joined forces with Ms. Slovensky for a little Playworks One Fish Two Fish! Orange Hunt Elementary

Today was “Friend day”. We enjoyed some partner games with friends as we continue our countdown to 5th grade. Orange Hunt Elementary

G is for “Game Day”. Students brought board and card games from home and played with friends. I only got the one picture because I had to get my own 4th grader home (hello, covid 😷) but know that TONS of fun was had!

Even though I’m at home with a quarantined kiddo, I love that I can still provide my students feedback using Pear Deck Learning and Desmos! It almost feels like I am in the classroom with them! ❤️

“O is for outdoors!” We had a blast putting our communication & collaboration skills to work in these team building activities. We had to practice nonverbal communication & learn to listen to others to be successful. Thanks to our counseling team for organizing this! Orange Hunt Elementary

4th Ss stared “ABC of Learning” books with 3rd Ss to give them an idea of things they will learn as 4th graders. Ss picked 1 unit from the year & found a related topic for each letter. After they said they felt proud to help prep future 4th Ss get excited for next year Orange Hunt Elementary

Our last day as 4th graders! My son moves onto 5th grade and I am heading to 3rd grade! But first…summer break ☀️

Yesterday at Madison's Montpelier we learned Madison lived w his mom until his 70s. So today we started college tours UVA for my 10yo focusing on housing options and bribing him with books about WWI written by faculty members.

Communication and collaboration skills helped us build our community through a series of challenges this week. We worked together to race to 100. We had to innovate and revise to create the longest paper chain. And we problem solved to save Fred. What a week! Orange Hunt Elementary
