We had a brilliant day in York yesterday, visiting Dig and Jorvik. We learned about how vikings came to England, their raiding and battle tactics and how they lived. Redscope School

As part of our Picture This project, science teachers from Wingfield came to share some exciting light and dark experiments. Redscope School

Our eco council members planted even more trees this afternoon! We will be announcing the winner of our recycling poster competition next week, and we have a litter picking project coming soon! 🌎❤️ Redscope School

Roy, who delivers creative workshops with AppeaR, has been working with the class again today. They have completed artwork to accompany an incredible song they wrote and recorded. This will be turned into a VR filter in the not too distant future! Redscope School

Miss Hipwell said Class 10 had a great time at Jorvik and Dig in York today and their behaviour was fantastic! Redscope School

Our new computing unit is all about creating spreadsheets. Class 10 did a great job of following instructions carefully and using formulas to work out percentages. Redscope School

What a fabulous array of costumes we had in Class 10 for World Book Day! The children wrote character profiles, typed book reviews in computing and read their favourite parts of the stories they had come dressed as. Redscope School

Class 10 had a wonderful art workshop last week with Children’s Capital of Culture. They discussed the importance of keeping our local area clean. They created pledges which they are welcome to take to Rotherham Street Carnival on 13th April. Redscope School
