Gold-and-silver Honeysuckle is one of my favourite plants. Its flowers have an intoxicating, sweet scent that is mild during the day, but more potent at night in order to attract pollinating moths. You can drink the nectar from its flowers which tastes and smells so good.

Cooked fava beans with a dash of salt, a sprinkle of ground golpar (Persian hogweed), vinegar or a squeeze of fresh lemon. That’s one of my favourite snacks of spring and early summer.

It takes about 7 months for these beautiful pomegranate flowers to turn into ripened fruits. I always harvest them in autumn.
