Previously, Y7 used info sheets to fill in a worksheet on our 6 heads of houses. Now they use the sheets to add each place of birth to a map, make a timeline of the DOBs & justify who they think had the greatest impact on society and why. Increase the rigour at every opp!

When you’re reading through the 3rd class set of re-drafted work and you come across this beauty🤩 It’s so lovely seeing the progress ALL students have made with their writing this year - the content codes have really helped with this.

Buying a whole class set books has been the best use of our budget this year. An hour of class guided reading a week to compliment our Medieval Powers unit is really enhancing our curriculum offer. The students respond so well to it and it’s an absolute pleasure to deliver.

A gorgeous location to inhale Responsive Teaching by Harry Fletcher-Wood today and then it was straight on to tweaking this scheme based on Chapter 3 whilst my brain was still fizzing. A great read due to the number of practical takeaways, the application of research and case studies
