Yesterday I went to AMC Theatres to watch Scarlet! It was a great movie, I liked it alot. It was a visually beautiful movie, the plot was great and I loved the action! Check out the movie this weekend if you can. Lots of great movies this weekend! Much love to all the apes!

Ngl I enjoyed this movie "Scarlet" (2025) far more than I realistically should have, the visuals were fantastic, I honestly didn't mind the cgi animation and the protagonist, the namesake of the movie was just very cute 4/5 very enjoyable

SCARLET was a lot better than the tepid reviews suggest, imo. Kind of your typical anime: good score, gorgeous visuals, some weird shit and several instances when I did not fully understand what was happening. 🤷🏽‍♂️ I’d put it over two of the Oscar-nominated animated films.

Mamoru Hosoda’s “Scarlet” was phenomenal. It’d be a lie to say I was speechless because I certainly have so much to say! If you’re not afraid of a visceral but eye-opening watch, see it on the largest screen that’s available to you. You’ll be sure to get something out of it.

Mana Ashida’s voice acting is so good, made me cry. It didn’t feel like acting because it took from a real place. Ever so emotional. The whole voice cast is undoubtedly strong and the film gives them ample room to shine despite its fast pace at first.

I’m a fan of this director (Mamoru Hosoda), and asked Hiro to join me at today’s matinee. Many of the characters are from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, but most of the movie is set in hell. I can understand why the response in Japan was lackluster. The story of Hamlet isn’t well known.

I really liked this movie. Scarlet and Hijiri are likeable characters, and the combination of 2D and 3D animation is perfectly woven throughout. Absolutely gorgeous.

#ScarletMovie is a great visual feast! Definitely what I go to anime films for! Loved the visuals, detail, action, and grit, as well as the music! Scarlet's journey is a nice one and it aims for hopeful moments & a hopeful ending but the script is rough in some places.
